To Area Businesses, Concerned Citizens, Family and Friends:

Abraham Assana was shot to death at point-blank range in Milwaukee’s Riverwest neigh-
borhood on June 30, 2012. He gave up his wallet, watch, cellphone -- even his shoes, but
to someone who would later use his credit card to buy $11 worth of hotdogs, it just didn’t

His death does matter. There should be justice for this hard working husband of Reine
Marie, father of Nica, Oliver, Fabrice and Anita, and respected member of and volunteer
with Milwaukee’s large immigrant Pan African community. To that end, Club Timbuktu,
The Riverwest Neighborhood Association, and Assana friends and family are holding a
benefit at Club Timbuktu, 520 E. Center Street, on Saturday, September 29th.
We are asking for your support in raising money to offer a reward for information leading
directly to the arrest and conviction of the murderer(s) and to provide funds for Abraham’s
